Rating & Reviews
What customers are saying:
Customers really like the classic camera-bag look, rich colors, and easy hands-free style, and several say it works well for everyday wear, dinners, and travel. The compact size is generally seen as practical, with a few customers noting it can feel a bit small compared with older versions. The most common downside is that the quality feels less sturdy than past bags, especially in the leather, lining, and overall finish for the price. Even so, it still comes across as a chic, versatile little bag with handy pockets and a polished look.

Poor leather quality
January 13, 2022I have bought the brown one. Does not have the quality of camera bags from one or two years ago. It looks like very cheap. The bag material does not even look like leather. Keep that in mind when considering it.

A bit smaller than expected
September 21, 2021I had ordered the camera bag several years ago and have loved it and used it for many years. I wanted a new one in black. It was slightly smaller than expected, which is fine, but the leather quality is just not the same. I wish they would just increase the price by 10-20% and use the same quality as in the past. Pretty bummed to be honest.

Not the usual J. Crew quality
September 17, 2021I received this bag in pale sand today. I have two other camera bags from J. Crew and they are higher quality. On my other bags the zippers have the J. Crew stamp and on this one the zipper pulls are generic. The interior is also plain (my others have polka dots and look more finished) and it didn’t come with a dust bag. I do like the zipper pocket inside and the fact that it has antique bronze hardware instead of silver but it’s not worth the price point.
