They appreciate how the fabric holds shape and works well from workdays to casual outings, making it a stylish, multi-season piece. A few customers suggested trying a different size if you’re particular about the skirt’s length, and there’s interest in a broader range of colors. Overall, it’s a well-crafted classic that many would happily see return to the collection.

LOVE
February 2, 2017i'm 5'3 110lb. I tried Petite 2 and Regular 0. Both fits, but the petite the length is too short on me. It hits mid thighs and I like it to be knee length so went with Regular. I have almost every color of this skirt. Please make more in different colors.

Beautiful fit and feel
January 31, 2017Photos do not do the piece justice. The quality (pleats, seams) is excellent. After purchasing the skirt, I've made two failed attempts to purchase a matching blazer online. How many shades of navy and fabric variations can J Crew carry in women's suiting? Can anyone help find the match to this lovely piece? Need to provide customers with guidance online where this is concerned.

It looks a lot better on the model!
December 16, 2016I want to love this 'classic with a twist' skirt, but I just don't. I am just not tall enough or skinny enough to pull it off. I am not hippy at all, but this skirt makes me look like a very wide load. I'm donating it to a good friend - she looks great in it - she is straight up and down, and super thin.

Figure Flattering
December 10, 2016I'm 5'6, waist 26.5, hips 35" so I bought a size 0 regular . The waist was too tight so I exchanged it for a 2 to accommodate when I have a piece of cake. It sits at your waist (above the belly button), so I can tuck in a blouse. Length is just above the knee. 120s wool is perfect for traveling. I loosely roll it into my back pack & hang while I take a hot shower. The wrinkles come out and its ready to wear. The pleats are a great touch.

Perfect Year -Around Weight
November 17, 2016Love it. Wore it for a day of mostly sitting in meetings, almost no wrinkles. Not lined, but still lays well. Needs to be the right length for you because hemming it would be costly if not impossible with the pleats. I am 5'9" and the length is perfect. I think it runs larger than a J Crew pencil skirt - I wear a 12 in those, and a 10 in this. Cute with bare legs or tights and boots. Love Love Love it.

Nice skirt for work, fits a bit large
October 16, 2016Got this skirt in black for work. It looks like it does in the picture. My hesitation that the skirt would look too "school girl-ish" due to the pleats turned into relief when I got it - it looks good! In fact, I like that it's a bit different from your run-of-the-mill pleated skirt because of the smooth cut at the waist. About fit: the reviews say true to fit so I ordered a size 4, which is my J.Crew pant size. However, the skirt sits 2 inches below my waist, which causes the skirt to hit below my knees instead of above/at my knees like it's supposed to. A size 2 would have been perfect. So yea, vanity sizing up in here. For reference, I'm 5'8 and 123 lbs.
