Seersucker underwire one-piece swimsuit

Should have heeded the caution that this runs small. I ordered my usual size but struggled to even pull it up over my hips. But the weird part is the cups. They’re VERY close together in the center, and very small. I’m a B cup on a good day, and I was spilling out all over. The strange centeredness of the cups had me spilling out of the sides, and proportionally their placement looks all wrong on an adult woman. Pretty much the cups make it look like I’m cramming myself into a little girl’s swimsuit. Just strange-looking and super unflattering. I had a seersucker two-piece from JCrew last year, and the fit was totally different. Even if I had gone up a size, the cup size and placement would be an issue. Sadly this piece was final sale. So I’ll have to find a small child to give it to.

Other reviewers were right when they said the torso seems to run a bit long. However, being pregnant, this worked out great for me! It does run small because the material doesn't have much stretch, which can be tough to pull on / off, especially when pregnant. But otherwise, it's great - so cute, comfortable, supportive (especially up top), just the right cut / coverage and smoothing around the body. I usually wear a size 4 in J. Crew suits pre-pregnancy (5'5", 126 lbs) and for this I ordered a size 6 (I'm currently 136 lbs, full C cup and 21 weeks pregnant).

I ordered three J Crew one piece swimsuits in a size two. The first two suits were perfect fits and consistent with other J Crew swimsuits. All three swimsuits had similar leg cuts width rations. Unfortunately, I could not even get this seersucker swimsuit over my thighs because it does not have any stretch. The suit is beautiful in person and looks like it has an amazing cut. I will never know what it looks like on my body. I wish the designers would have considered the fabric limitations when creating this swimwear. I may try getting a couple sizes up to see if those fit like my other size two swimsuits.

I had this suit for a couple years and lost one of the straps and it just began to show signs of wear so magically I found it on your website again so I reordered it. so happy. Maybe I lost a little weight since the first one, I always get a size bigger in a swim suit so everything stays well covered....so I ordered the 10 again (I'm really a 6 in most brands) and it is a bit big but not by too much so I'd rather have this than too small. Not only is this suit really cute, it looks great with a pair of jeans shorts and a white sunshirt over the top. I love the fabric, it dries super fast so you can only pack one suit on vacation, it's dry a couple hours after a dip in the pool or ocean! I loved seersucker as a little girl, and this is just as great as it was back then! Also, this time it came with an extra strap so no need if you lose one!!! thank you J Crew! You always come "threw!"

Ordered the pink color. Fits true to size. I agree with the other reviewer that the seersucker material does not have much stretch in it. As I was putting this on, I thought it would be one size too small but it went through and ... oh my, the fit is nice! This nicely accentuated my frame. Noticed that were was a bit of excess material around the bottom cheeks but I just pulled it upwards and it is now fitted. Shame, the bra straps do not come with sliders so they are not adjustable. And this isn't a true pink as it has a slight hue of purple. Overall, this is a good swimsuit - great coverage and the underwire provided great support (they're also true to size).
