Gwen lug-sole leather lace-up tall shaft boots
durable lug sole that looks great and works hard. Think of these lace-up leather boots like a more refined take on a classic combat boot, with a slightly taller shaft. Detail we love: There's a zipper on the inside of the boot shaft for easier on-off wearability.

Gorgeous leather boots!
March 17, 2022I bought these in my standard 8 in the Rich Oak shade. I love the tall shaft. It can be difficult to find high boots that fit my thin legs, but these work perfectly! I would not recommend for wide calves, but I think medium calves should be ok since there are laces that allow you to adjust. The boots run slightly narrow, which is perfect for my narrow feet. The Oak shade is a beautiful cognac. I've worn these a few times and they are extremely comfortable and wearing well - I would just note that the smooth leather is prone to scratches. I would guess over time this will give a worn in look that suits this style of boot well!

Not that great
February 18, 2022I am sort of surprised on the reviews. I where a 41 or 10 in all designer boots. Ordered the 10 in these and they are huge. These run big, they are stiff (maybe soften up after wearing) and way to big around the leg. I laced them completely tight and they are still too big around my leg. Not a fan.

Trendy but classic
February 12, 2022Fantastic quality for the price. The boots are all-day wearable. A bit stiff at the ankle, but am sure they will break in eventually. The lug sole gives great traction in bad weather, and I was able to wipe off the winter slop easily without it leaving stains.

Back with an Update
February 11, 2022I've had these boots in cream for about four months (while dealing with a back problem, so no heels for me). They are outstanding for comfort and traction. I can get skinnies into them and they also look good with a cuffed straight leg. Totally adjustable calf. Look great with a skirt or dress. Great quality for a very small price. Buy the boots!

Great Quality Boots
January 6, 2022These boots were very stiff when I first received them. But after wearing them for about four times they gradually got softer and more comfortable. The quality is great with genuine leather with a leather lining. They’re sleek, not bulky looking. They look very nice with pants, joggers, and dresses. I half sized up, so I can wear them with a pair of thick socks, or loosen them by loosening the laces for a tighter fit. The sale price was unbeatable. Great boots for the price!

cheap looking
January 5, 2022The 'rich oak' color is not a deep, rich brown color as shown - it's more of a tacky tan color I associate with cheap men's dress shoes. Size wise, I'd say they run TTS, unless you want to wear super thick socks. I have thicker calves and had no problem with them fitting, but I wouldn't call them comfortable. Side note, very disappointed with the lack of photos and product descriptions, especially on shoes, from J. Crew. With their final sale policy they should at least provide more details - it's only fair to the customer.
