Cute but a little short
October 5, 2021This dress is very cute but does run big. I normally wear a size 10 and the small fit me well. I am 5’7” and wish the dress was a couple of inches longer. Overall I like the dress a lot.

Denim dress for Fall
September 24, 2021I love the wash and design of this dress. However, my only complaints are that I wish it’d come in Petite sizes and it’s huge! Not only because the design of the dress is supposed to be boxy, but it’s just VERY boxy. I originally bought XS, but had to size down to XXS and is still roomy, but a much better fit.

Easy dress
September 23, 2021I love this throw on style. Washed and dried (did shrink a little) but it doesn’t even really need ironing. I’m 8P/MP normally in dresses like this but bought a S per suggestion on site. Was a smidge big but it shrunk to perfect size after drying.

Adorable but poor quality
September 21, 2021I’m sad to write this, but I don’t know what has happened to JCrew. I managed to snag this dress on final sale, but it was still over $70, and it’s an extremely simple shape and construction. The fabric is thin and wrinkly and the dye is uneven, leaving white specks. Still, the style is cute and I love the sleeves, so I washed and dried it after receiving, and the first time I put it on, the fabric disintegrated alongside the button placket, leaving a large hole. I can sew but can’t fix this as the fabric is now just strings. I get that failures happen, but overall, there’s really just no excuse for the price on this dress - I’ve got similar quality items from other big retailers that are substantially cheaper. Step it up, JCrew!

More flattering than you would think
September 16, 2021I tried this dress on in-store and was surprised to see that even though it is cut loose, it is not boxy and has a nice flow when you move in it. The denim is good quality, soft and beautifully dyed. In-store I tried the small and thought it was a tad too big, so I ordered the XS and it fits perfectly. I'm going to enjoy playing with this dress's versatility.
