Cashmere relaxed turtleneck sweater

This was a pricey item and prob my first full cashmere item and oh gosh, now I know why. Softest and very flattering oversized cut for my long torso. Wearing it with leggings at home and half tuck with work pants.

The pics I took don't truly show the horror... You know, if you are going to label something 'final sale' and 'cannot be returned,' the least you could guarantee is the item being sent isn't worn. This is a beautiful sweater, fits well, and is a great blue color. However, this item has a person's hair all over it and fuzzy lint balls down the inside of the arms and body, like from friction from the arms rubbing on the sweater with WEAR. I'm not sure if it was a returned item or an employee but someone clearly wore this AND I can't return it because it's a final sale! This is terrible.

I disagree with most of the reviews that suggest this sweater is just a bit relaxed: it's humongous! So much material hanging way down under my arms - too big! I ordered the size recommended by J Crew as my "fit": I am swimming in it. I mean, I can wear it, but I wonder if small/medium wouldn't have been a better fit, and I'm a size 10. I have sometimes taken a size 8 in some J Crew relaxed fit items, though. You might want to size down. As others have noted, the cashmere is extraordinarily thick, and the blue color is very pretty.

I used to be a big j. Crew customer but have stayed away for the last few yrs due to lower quality items that didn’t match the price. I saw this sweater in the blue and had to try it. It’s a beautiful color and the cashmere is soft and thick, but not heavy. This is high quality and I’m happy to pay for it. Wish J. Crew would move more in this direction than the thin sweaters that don’t last. Took a star off for the underarm fit. The shoulders are dropped and it results in a weird baggy look in that spot which I don’t love.

I loved everything about this sweater other than the fit. The cashmere is luxurious and THICK. Such a cozy, warm sweater for cold winter days. Definitely oversized, especially across chest/bust area (loads of extra fabric under the arms/across the back) but sleeves were a good length. The natural color is more of a creamy almost pale yellow than a white/ivory. Looked great with jeans, leggings, slip skirt. BUT I could not get past the strange fit… the front is slightly longer than the back. Like a high-low in reverse. I thought maybe the tag was sewn incorrectly so I tried it backwards and that did not work either. My two teenage daughters said it looked off so I very sadly returned it as they are tough critics! I also bought the navy striped version and that had same strange fit. Maybe it would work better on someone with a larger bust and is just not so great for true petites. Wish it would have come in XXS/XS.

Nice quality, a little boxy, but i always wear a tankini or tee under my sweaters anyway. I bought the heather cream color. Its really more of a heather tannish then it is off-white (was hoping for a true "cream" color). But nice and warm. Would advise. Hopefully be another great sale I can purchase another color before they run out. I usually don't spend this much on a sweater. I am 5'2" tall and weigh 110 pounds.
