Bodice Unflattering
June 29, 2022The print of the fabric is lovely. Unfortunately, the bodice looks very matronly, in a bad way: very baggy, with all of the weight drooping down towards the waist. Ick. I am using my seam ripper to remove the bodice to turn this dress into a skirt. It's truly too bad about the top portion - the sleeve length was perfect.

Thisclose to getting it just right
May 29, 2022I want to love this dress so much. But there is one thing that makes this design a hard no. The cut out. Otherwise, this dress would be perfect. I wear size 20, and I have to wonder why garments with cut outs are being foisted onto us. Then I see the sizes that remain available are 18, 20, 22 and 24. JCrew, do you wonder why it is those sizes that remain available? I'm so happy for the larger size offerings, but please be mindful of what those who wear larger sizes need and want.

Almost great but...
May 23, 2022This dress would be great but, as some other reviewers have pointed out, the cut and fit are not the same as on the model. The sleeves are much shorter, which I did not mind. But the waist is also short. It's a borderline empire waist on me and I do not have long torso or large bust. Because of where the waist falls and the volume of fabric, there's no definition. I tried playing around with cut out and pulling the back lower. It just doesn't work for me. It's a shame. If the waistline at the front was just a bit lower, it would be gorgeous.

The sleeves area much shorter than in the photo
April 20, 2022Dang, I bought this dress on final sale and am so disappointed. The sleeves are really short. the photo shows them just above the model's elbow but mine are very short sleeves. Sad I can't return this.

Super Cute Dress
April 15, 2022I didn't know what to expect. I was concern about my back fat showing, my love handles bulging.I didn't know. Anywho, I received it yesterday and I can honestly say. My concerns were not warranted. Again I think it depends on your height, because on me 5 '2 there is not a lot of skin showing. It's a beautiful dress, there is a zipper on the top portion of the dress, it's line perfectly. I didn't size up, because I am a 12/14.so the size 14 was perfect for me. It's not heavy, just flowy and beautiful. Can't wait to wear it❤️
