Brushed wool polo sweater

I love everything about this polo and the color is amazing and eye catching

Credit where it’s due to the designer with whom I’ve mostly disagreed - this sweater is a strong win and is precisely the direction J. Crew needs to engage. The fabric is intriguing in brown; utilizing a menagerie of shades - magentas, greens, yellows, oranges - to elicit a tone of “dark earth” which is neither brown nor green (I am reviewing the “brown” color here, mind you), but something in between. Indeed, it does have a deep olive suggestion but doesn’t wear like olive, per se. Brushed Shetland ought to be a staple in J. Crew. I can’t speak for the other colors, though I will say that I value that there are “safe” earthen tones like this brown. Perhaps an ecru, umber, rust, mustard, etc. would be welcome seasonal iterations. The fabric while not soft is also not woefully itchy (my wife disagrees), I’d call “tactile” instead. I bought two.

I purchased as a Christmas present for my son. Since Covid he mostly works from home but needs to look presentable for his Zoom meetings. The collared polo sweater looks professional and it’s a nice shade of blue that is flattering on him. It’s fit tts and he likes wearing it.
