Aged Hipster Trying for Studio 54 Whimsy
January 9, 2023I fall for the whimsy of the J Crew Holiday designs very year. I bought this outfit as styled; the dress, the earrings, even tried for the makeup look with the pink lip. Sadly ,it ended up looking costume-y and the dress reminded me of a combination of Stevie Nicks and a fortune teller. As previously mentioned, it is NOT a wrap dress. Just because it has a split front and a tulip hem doesn't not make it a wrap dress. The fit is ok, true to size. No gapping or pulling, but still doesn't have the flex and flow of a true wrap style. Another final sale miss.

Not As Pictured- Are You Kidding Me?
December 31, 2022This isn’t even close. First of all, it isn’t even a wrap dress. Secondly, it’s tinsel-like. Not at all, like what is pictured. Hopefully, this is returnable. I won’t bother buying online, again.

Pretty holiday dress
December 8, 2022I typically don't wear dresses or sparkly things but ordered this on a whim for a "festive" holiday party and I'm so glad I did. I was pleasantly surprised that the gold pattern is more subtle than it appears online. I bought a 2 and a 4 and kept the 2. For reference, I'm 5'8"/125/34C with a straight build (no waist). The sash is too fussy for my taste and added bulk where I didn't want it so I'm not wearing it. It has a finished waistband detail so it looks fine without it. If you're on the fence, don't hesitate!
