1989 scoopback one-piece swimsuit in navy bouquet block print

I love this swimsuit....the print is beautiful and I love the wider straps. I've never gotten so many compliments !! The only thing I don't like, almost (but not quite) to the point of returning it, is the "cheeky coverage." When I wear a bathing suit I don't just sit in a chair and drink cocktails. I walk up and down the beach, I swim, I play with kids in the water, etc. I find myself constantly pulling down the rear end on this bathing suit. J Crew: can you bring back the similar retro-one piece suit you sold in multiple colors a few years ago? It had just a little more rear end coverage and was perfect. I wish I'd purchased several.

I bought this suit because of the throwback silhouette but the nice print in a beautiful color is a bonus. I am 4 months postpartum and this is flattering on my somewhat squishy body without making me feel like a "mom" the way some off the ruffled, ruched suits do. It's unique. Sexy but still with a bit of bum and chest coverage. The material is very comfortable, thick, and high quality feeling. Love the liner in the bust. I'm 5'5'', currently just under 130 pounds, pretty average torso, and I got a size 6. I tried the size 6 long torso because at first I worried about a how tight the regular was, but it gapped strangely. After wearing the 6, even though it was tight on the shoulders at first, it fits well and I'm glad I kept it because I think the long torso may have gotten bogged down in the water. I'm in love with this suit!

This bathing suit brings me back to carefree summers at the pool full of crushes and giggling BFFS. It's my Peter Pan swim suit.

I love this swimsuit. It’s a chic classic silhouette. J. Crew, please make this same style in some beautiful bright solid colors preferably red (not muted but bright) pink and baby blue. I love that it is traditional bathing suit material, not that scrunchy style fabric that J. Crew made. My only issue is that the long torso is still not quite long enough. Maybe J. Crew could make 3 lengths for petite, regular and long torso?!? I’m hoping the suit will loosen up with wear but ideally the long torso version would be just slightly longer.

This suit is so cute! I definitely recommend sizing up. The back is very flattering.
