Collection Marie Marot X J.Crew blazer in Italian linen-blend

After eyeing for some time, I grabbed this jacket after it went on sale, but was a little worried about sizing as it was a "Final Sale" with no return option. Super glad I took the advice of the one review that was posted and sized up. I am consistently a size 6 in the jackets, but glad I got the 8 as it is a little snug--with room for the jacket to stretch--as is often the case with Linen. I have another J. Crew Navy Linen Jacket, double breasted, but was attracted to the shorter length. Buttons hit in the exact right spot. The look is slimming and very French.

I’ve had my eye on this blazer for a while now … Waiting for anyone (anyone!) to write a review so I could pick a size. Finally, I decided to buy it and after checking out the size charts at the Marie Marot website opted to size up to 14 (Truefit suggested a size 12). I received my jacket today and I couldn’t be happier. This is a great quality jacket… I’m not a fan of oversized blazers and don’t like them too long, which is the fit that’s all over the place this season. This jacket is fitted and hits at mid hip on me (I’m 5’9, size 40c in bras and I’m a solid size 14 in slim fitted BR jackets). The linen is substantial and a nice quality, a saturated color and there is nice contrasting color lining that gives the jacket a touch of whimsy … Overall, very happy with my purchase, in spite of the price. I’m not buying the pants tho since I’m not big on gold buttons. But do try the jacket… It’s beautifully made.
