April 16, 2024I have the silver and gold pair. I love them! I do agree that a side zipper would have been nice, but most boots are pullon. I have wide calves, but they fit, albeit like a glove!

Unique but flawed
January 31, 2024I read the other reviews which were very helpful in selecting my correct size. I am normally a 7 but bought the 7.5. It fit great and was easy to get on with a thinner sock. I had some difficulty getting them off because although this is a "collection piece", it offered no zipper! The boots I received in gold arrived in perfect condition without any flaws whatsoever. I want to mention that I am just short of 5'4" and these boots came up to my knee in an unflattering way directly below my kneecap. Luckily I have enough wiggle room to make them slough down and they still look good. If you are shorter with wide calves you will not be able to scrunch them down and the shaft may come up too high. On the positive side, I wore them out yesterday and received a whopping 4 compliments on them!! They are just so unique which is what drew me to them in the first place.

Poor execution
January 25, 2024Received and returned. There is a seam that runs down the front top of the boot and at the back. They came scratched In spots. The idea was nice, just poor execution for Jcrew. And poor quality for price.

Cute boots no zippers
January 15, 2024I bought these in gold. They have no zipper and they’re really hard to fit into. I ended up taking them to a shoe repair to have zippers put in at an astronomical expense.

Fabulous by not perfect
January 4, 2024These boot look fabulous but I do agree with the other reviews. They do seem to scratch easily. I did go up a half size so I could fit my foot in and my slightly larger calves. There is no zipper. I purchased the boots on a huge sale.

Beautiful boots!
December 23, 2023I got these in silver, in a brand new, unopened box, so there are no scuffs, but I can see how they’ll appear with wear. At the sale price I got them it’s not a deal breaker, but I also hope the metallic will blind anyone to the flaws :) I’m a true 7.5 medium and they fit like a glove in my size, but if I wanted a thicker sock or if you have wide feet, definitely size up. Otherwise, they are as gorgeous in person as they are in the pictures, and since it looks like metallics are here to stay, I’ll get some good use out of them.
