5" stretch chino short

Worst shorts I have ever owned. And I bought 4 different colors. They are so thin and poor quality. Every time I put them on, I think, why haven’t I thrown these away yet? What’s ironic is that the previous version of this short, before they started adding stretch and reducing the fabric weight, were the best shorts I’ve ever owned. Why Jcrew, do you keep cheaping out!

The quality is great, but they run small. I would recommend ordering at least one size above your normal order.

My two pair fit great in the legs and rear. They are certainly at least one inch smaller than advertised in the waist; I own about ten comfortable pair of 32” waist J Crew pants, and the 32” waist on these shorts has me painfully muffin-topping. And I don’t even have very much muffin to top with. Time to relocate the button.

These have become a staple in my wardrobe. Perfect fit and great quality. I have a problem with chino type shorts usually looking saggy in the seat…not the case here! I normally wear a 31 in JCrew pants give or take depending on the fabric. In chino pants it’s a hard 31 but I take a 32 on the shorts. The true fit guide (which I constantly complain about because I find it inaccurate and I’m constantly asked what size did the true fit guide suggest when I have an issue with a fit) tells me I need a 31 which big surprise is wrong. But we are talking about theses amazing shorts. They are comfortable and easy to move around in without looking frumpy. I love this cut so much I ordered 7 more pair a week or two ago!

These have been my go-to shorts for years, they fit well with a good color selection. Though the quality appears to have declined on my most recent purchase. Buttons have come loose after the initial wear and stitch quality isn't what I had come to expect from J. Crew.

All my others are cutoffs because shorts are always too long but loved these and have been wearing them nonstop!
