Ludlow Slim-fit suit jacket with double vent in American wool

I got this suit (I got the jacket and the slacks) on a very good sale and I couldn't be happier. Everybody that sees me in it likes it. It pretty much needs no alterations right off the rack. Paired with my Jcrew glasses, Ludlow loafers and pocket square makes it a perfect outfit.

This is my first new JCrew suit in several years. My previous was the classic fit, and I can absolutely say the slim fit is 100X better in every way. The quality of the wool is quite frankly about the best you can get off the shelf. Quality is much better than the other brands and worth the extra cost. I am definitely getting another one in navy and if I can convince my wife, a third in black.

Bought the matching pants, and this charcoal blazer is just as good. The Ludlow fit works very well, after years of wearing I'll fitting suits.... Sad that it took so long to find a great suit. Charcoal color is great, drapes well, and fit is on point. (will only take minor adjusting to make perfect) Only thing I would want JCrew to do is to add the Super S wool number to all their suits... 110 to 130 is where you want a number for an everyday suit that will last long. (remember the higher the number the finer and softer the fabric, just won't last long). I'd put this jacket and pants on the 110-130 level though. Should last for years to come :)
