Love the coat, hate the buttons
January 4, 2023Coat is beautiful and a lot warmer than I thought it would be. However, beware the buttons don't stay fastened. It becomes annoying when every few steps the coat opens on its own. I love the style and it's great if you intend to only wear it open, if not I recommend a different style.

February 18, 2022This is for all of you like me who wanted to know if icy orchid looks PINK. YES, it does! I ordered one and because I was so afraid of them not bringing it back again next year I ordered another one. YES BOTH IN PINK. This coat is everything! I get so many compliments, but yes it is itchy if you have on a sleeveless top underneath, but not enough to make it a deal breaker for me.

Perfect California coat
January 14, 2022This coat is everything I have been searching for. I love that it is unlined, which makes it stretchy and more comfortable. It is warm enough for northern California winter and dresses up just about every outfit. I will be buying more colors! Would love to see it in olive green.

LOVE THIS COAT
January 10, 2022I am 5'5" and 132 lbs. I have a long torso w/ shorter limbs so I sometimes wear petites. I would say I am a size 6 in general. I find the size guide for J.Crew to be inaccurate. It advised me to order a 6, but based on the reviews, I ordered a 2 and a 4. Either size would have worked. The 4 just felt too oversized and while the size 2 is oversized, it is less so. I can still wear light weight sweaters underneath. The coat is not meant to be fitted. Also, some reviews mention the unfinished seams as a negative. They are not unfinished, just exposed seams and It's part of the great design. The coat is very stylish and great quality. Think of this as a "sweater coat." It is gorgeous, boiled wool. Unlined but warm. Not for the coldest winter days, but pretty fabulous all the same. I purchased it on sale in black and will most likely purchase in another color when they are on sale again. I will consider a 4P next go round, as the sleeve would be a tad shorter and I might like that.
