Demi-boot crop jean in velvet

First negative J Crew review in decades. Love the kick crop style, so I thought I would love these. I do not! The fabric is not typical J Crew quality at all. It is extremely thin and has no body to it whatsoever. Doesn't keep its shape, wrinkles at thighs, knees and crotch. Horrible. Keeping them because I never return. May wear with a very long top...that's about it. Very disappointing because I love the color and style....

I was so excited for these velvet pants to arrive but more than running small, I found the material to be cheap and not of J. Crew "quality" from prior purchase experiences. I was disappointed needless to say. The pants were returned.

I am in love with these pants. The style is super cute, especially the exposed front pockets. Velvet is a little thin, which works for me. Got them in black and burgundy and the latter is a gorgeous color. They feel so comfortable and soft. Great length, they hit me at the ankle so they work great with flats and boots, if you like showing your boots. Flare is subtle. Washed the black pair a few times already and haven’t noticed any change in color or otherwise. Also tried the navy but they were surprisingly tight in the waist so I returned those. Overall, couldn’t be happier with this purchase.
