Sommerset blazer in houndstooth wool

I've been eyeing this blazer for months and months and it is always out of stock whenever I finally decide to purchase. Finally got it and it's just as good as I expected. It is boxy but structured. Love it so much. TTS

I first saw the blazer on a store associate and it looked so nice! The fabric is much smoother than the Bristol blazer in herringbone and slightly heavier weight. The fit is for layering so length is slightly longer but so stylish. The 0R sleeves were a bit long for my height but otherwise, a great piece to have in your closet.

I picked up this blazer while on a work trip. Saw it in store, put it on and walked into a meeting. Love it! Great weight and color is nice. I am 5’5” and about 120 lbs and a size 0 was perfect. Gave me some room without feeling too bulky.

I am 5'2", and purchased size regular. Aside from the sleeve being a little large, easy fix--scrunch up to show off my bracelets or cuff. That being said, this blazer is WOW factor. The quality is there, from full lining, to the cut, and to the materials used. This blazer will be a staple in my closet for eternity.

I’ve been looking for a nice houndstooth jacket for two or three years now, and this one fit the bill. It’s well made, the collar, lining and inner pocket are classically done. The fit is straight and a bit boxy, but it works even though I’m tall (5’8’’, 148 lbs). I can easily wear it with a sweater because of the straight cut, otherwise it might have been a bit too narrow. I‘m wearing it outside as a jacket right now, warm enough for cooler weather. And for winter it will be nice and warm indoors. The color is not as crisp as in the photos, it’s more muted and more beige-y brown-y, I hardly pick up on the navy. I’m usually an 8 in J.Crew jackets. I bought it while traveling in the US - wonder if the tall size would have been a better fit, but they don’t sell those in store unfortunately. It’s a classic blazer, but I like to wear it more casually, with a rock tee, flared jeans and sneakers.

The fabric is 100% wool woven in England. It is beautiful, but not particularly soft. Inside details are high quality (light blue accent in lining, pocket). Shoulders and sleeve length (4P) fit me perfectly as other JCrew blazers. This blazer cut IS boxy. If OK with belting it, (looks fine with this heavier fabric), or spending $ or time to tailor it, then this is a nice investment piece that will finish many outfits.
