Too Large in Waist
August 16, 2026I purchased the size 12 for my 11y, based off her height in the size chart, but the waist was so large that the skirt falls down. It feels like when brands jump from size 10 to 12, they assume kids suddenly have much larger waists. My daughter has worn Crewcuts skirts before, and it hasn’t been until size 10 or 12 that they stopped fitting her. She can’t just size down, because then the skirts would be too short. Why not assume a small waist and then rely on the elastic band to accommodate larger waists?
