Very Upset
January 6, 2016I'm so upset with this purchase, and the fact that I trusted j. crew enough to buy it as a final sale item despite the previous reviews. For starters, the sleeves of this coat is not ribbed as the others j. crew coats I have purchased for my daughter in the past. She has very slim wrists like a lot of children, I don't know how they missed this. Second, the sleeve seam seems to start in an odd place, about half way down the arm from the shoulder. Though the design is lovely, and the gold buttons are just beautiful adding elegance to the coat, its a shame my daughter wont get to wear this and I wasted my money. I highly recommend the Toggle Puffer for girls over this coat any day.

Wish it was made for adults
January 5, 2016I bought this coat for my 11 yrs old niece , she loved it it's so stylish the color is so vibrant the gold bottom takes it to a whole other level, my only complaint is that they don't make it for adults......

December 30, 2015My 4 and a half year old daughter is tall for her age. After talking to Customer service and reading other reviews I ordered size 3. It is snug, sleeves are too short, and there is no ribbing inside sleeves! The coat overall is too short and looks more like a jacket. And no returns on final sale items!! Oh well, my younger daughter should be able to wear it in the future, hopefully. The coat is well made and stylish. I really like faux fur hood and two rows of golden buttons, but no ribbing inside sleeves detracts from comfort. Also, I am not a big fan of dropped shoulder silhouette. Every child is different, but if yours is taller than average, I suggest ordering your true size to wear now, size up to wear next winter. Better a tad large than small
