Girls' long-sleeve ruffle-shoulder dress in Snowy Stewart tartan

Ordered a size 8 and what arrives looks like a size 14!

I ordered this dress for family holiday photos for my two daughters (my 8 year old daughter and about to turn 5 year old daughter). I purchased the dress in size 8 and size 5. These fit my daughters at a nice length. At the lower part of the knee for my average height 8 year old. Below the knee for my about to turn 5 year old. I would describe the fit as blousy. It allows for my children to move with some looseness, and the sleeves are bracelet length (there is elastic at the waist and wrists). The material is similar to a medium weight dress shirt. Cotton inside, outside is lightly brushed in a flannel feel. I gave 4 stars because the fabric is not as thick as a full flannel dress. This is a nice style dress for when you want your children to be dressed for an occasion, but know that they are still going to run around and play.

I purchased this dress for my daughter who usually wears a 14 in J Crew. This dress is so huge it looks like a women’s size 2x. I would not purchase this item online because the sizing is way off. It may be a cute dress if the sizing was right but I will be returning it.
