Girls' button-fly denim mini skirt

I ordered this for my 11 year old. The size 10 is several inches too big at the waist. It’s absurd. Size down at least two sizes (and then you may have a problem with the length). Poor quality control on this one.

I am an adult woman who is 4'11 tall and who weighs 103 pounds. I often purchase JCrew kids in sizes 12 or 14 depending on style, and most work out. This skirt, however, isn't one of them. The waist is enormous in a size 14. There were 4 inches of extra fabric on waist that is even too big for my hips. I wonder if it is a size labeling error. I will return it. Disappointing.
