Harrington jacket

It's so beautiful. The zipper is YKK and completely fine. It's gorgeous.

And I was not let down. Other reviews covered the unbeatable fit, quality, and nuance. I’m just here today to tell you that the indigo-as nearly always-really makes it stand out from the rest. But, with a jacket that’s already slightly loud, the indigo compliments every aspect I can’t think—all the while staying a perfectly ‘subdued’ tone and sheen. Please, J.Crew, people have been saying it for as long as I can remember: navy < indigo in most cases. Yes, because of bleeding, some might not buy a ludlow indigo blazer/chore coat. Same with cardigans, and other wool garments. But, I would love to see your take on it. IMO, a more rustic, casual take.

This jacket is gorgeous. The zipper is YKK- no problem. It's perfect.

Guessing J Crew updated the zipper after reading some of the earlier reviews posted this jacket. The one I just received (navy) has a nice, very solid feeling brass YKK double zipper, which works like a charm every time from the bottom or the top. As with nearly everything J Crew has been producing the past few years, this jacket runs slightly large. I'm 6' and around 160 lbs, with a slim, swimmer's build, and a small fits me just fine, without being tight anywhere. Overall, I love this jacket and definitely recommend it.

This harrington has all the details you would expect out of a much more expensive equivalent. The materials are great and it has the classic harrington collar and two-way zipper. I was worried based on other reviews there would be a problem with the zipper but it seems that the jacket has been since updated with a great YKK zipper that slides with ease. Fit is slim but not restrictive.

Fit just right, and colors were accurate. It’s quite warm and comfortable. I’d give five stars if it were all organic material.
