Abingdon briefcase

I bought this for a couple purposes, one of which is to put my laptop and other onboard items in for flying, the other to carry a small kit when I travel to do work on site. It's perfect: sturdy, weatherproof, stylish, well-padded, comfortable to wear, and it comes with a great smell from the oiled canvas. The pockets/compartments are really well thought out, including the canvas covers on the outer exterior ones - yes you have to reach under but they keep the rain out and aren't fussy to close, they close themselves. Also really well-made with quality materials and, no doubt, incredibly durable. The pad on the strap isn't adjustable but imo that's actually a plus - but then again it seems designed for someone around my height.

This briefcase is a great balance of form and function. It's stylish due to its brass hardware but it isn't so flashy that it feels out of place in a bizcaz environment. There are pockets for my every need, and the waxed canvas material feels tough as nails and should last forever and break in beautifully. I absolutely recommend this bag, but a few small complaints: First, the side pockets are covered by a flap of canvas as you can see in the pictures and this means that you have to reach up under the flap and then down into the pocket to access it. This isn't a huge deal, just feels a little awkward. Also, the leather pad on the shoulder strap is sewed on, so if you tighten the strap the leather is off-centered and doesn't rest on your shoulder like it should. Finally, the waxed canvas material picks up dust fairly easily. Also not a big deal, just be warned! Overall I recommend this bag, small issues aside it's stylish and functional.
