Wallace & Barnes cotton canvas cap with corduroy brim

Really liked the color and overall look of this cap right away. The Dark Dusk color is great, the canvas and corduroy feel nice, and it seems well-made. Unfortunately mine arrived with a pretty strong fragrance, kind of like Febreze or air freshener. I’m sensitive to strong scents, so that was a big downside for me. I tried airing it out for about a week and the smell was still there. Even though the label says spot clean, I carefully hand washed it with a small amount of detergent, then tried soaking it again with baking soda, and the fragrance still didn’t come out. I was disappointed because otherwise I really liked the hat. Since it’s final sale, that made it more frustrating. Nice style and materials, but the strong scent was a dealbreaker for me.
