just great utility jacket
2 days agoI think this is great. The canvas is thick and fairly rigid so feels tough, authentic has a nice straight drape but has a kind of articulating shoulder seam that makes it comfortable to move in. The flannel liner, the corduroy, the whole thing is very thoughtful and detail oriented. It's really a terrific jacket and great value. I suppose you just have to understand it's like a jacket for a particular shoulder season kind of day like 55-65 F degrees. Really nice overall.

Defective jacket. Had to return.
4 days agoPurchased online and had to return the jacket to my local JCrew at Stanford. Jacket was glaringly defective. No brass buttons or buttonholes on the right cuff. Surprised for a garment from this manufacturer and quality. Otherwise a fine garment that would provide many years of service.

Versatile & Rugged - What's not to like?
2 weeks agoI like the fashionable & somewhat rugged look of the jacket. It will be quite versatile for most of my situations - it's summer, so I don't wear it yet. The dark olive color goes with most all my clothes. I also like the duck brown color, but I already have that color is in a similar unlined jacket from a several years ago. High quality & good fitting - I look forward to cool weather!
