Fits big based on
5 customer reviewsWhat customers are saying:
Customers like the cool plaid look and the cozy, warm feel of this fleece jacket. Fit tends to run generous and oversized, so many customers found sizing down helpful, especially for the sleeves. A few reviews mention it feels thinner or less substantial than expected, so it comes across more like a fleece layer than a full winter coat. Overall, the style and comfort get strong praise, especially for layering and casual wear.

Don't Trust the Negative Reviews
January 11, 2021This fleece is cozy, warm and keeps me really toasty. Yes, it is very much oversized. I wear an XXL normally and ordered a size Large and it fits perfect. The quality is great and the appearance is very nice. I would give this several thumbs up. I do not think it is worth it at full price, but then again, who pays full price for a JCREW item anyway? Thickness is great for a fleece. Yes, this is a fleece so its about the same thickness as a North Face fleece jacket. If you are expecting this to be a winter coat or a shirt jacket, then you will be disappointed. However, the fine print does indicate FLEECE so I knew what to expect and I knew what to anticipate size-wise. There is a reason why this fleece has sold out as quickly as it did since the quality is great, the style is cool and it makes the perfect addition to my wardrobe. Those knocking it for not being up to the Wallace and Barnes standard have underrated a stellar looking fleece jacket.

Fresh Perspective
December 17, 2020Not to undo previous reviews, but I received this in the post today, and found it to be exquisite. The fit is a bit generous, but any loyal J Crew client knows this to be true of virtually the entire W&B menu, with the exception of items carrying a specific and mentioned, "Slim fit". In a world flooded with poorly made, non-functional, skin-tight outerwear, this jacket boasts extra room allowing for excellent layering underneath, and a "begs to be touched" exterior. As for the quality, I'm impressed - especially, considering the tag in under $200. Please do not expect this to be a proper coat - nothing in the product description should indicate that. This is a very warm jacket - one that I plan on wearing for the next 15 years.

Sleeves and overall fit way too big
December 11, 2020It seems like this jacket was modeled after David Byrne's suit in Stop Making Sense. I kid you not, it's ridiculously big, especially in the sleeves. It's really a shame as it's a cool design and seems to be made well, it's just a terrible fitting jacket.
