Wallace & Barnes schooner anorak

I was quite excited for this and the quality seems really nice, but the jacket is extremely large. Even with a sweater underneath, it feels two sizes too large. One positive, as another reviewer mentioned, there are so many pockets! Sadly, this will probably sit in the back of my closet.

The bad: Sleeves a tad short, elastic cuffs could be switched for a better option and I expected a more substantial material at this price point. The good: Classic style and great fit through the shoulders. Good body length and nice color. Pockets. Not a bad light jacket, but at this price it left me a little underwhelmed.

I was pleasantly satisfied, but by no means surprised, by this piece's excellent quality. I can say with confidence that you will enjoy adding yet another W&B outerwear gem to your collection. It arrives quickly bc it can be folded down like a shirt with its lightweight construction. Details abound. Stitching is solid and drawstrings are robust. The deep navy is a rich midnight, and the teal zipper and periwinkle lining really provide great contrast for blue lovers. As previously reviewed, pockets are many-not only for phone on chest and hands on sides, but also buttoned inner ones for tickets, letters, passports, small books or folded magazines--you get the idea of that general size. My only criticism is that this could have been perfected with a navy colored metal IDEAL zipper rather than plastic YKK, but I assume colored ones don't exist in the former. I haven't seen Wallace and Barnes go down in quality, but if Crew is listening, we believe these details deserve consistency.

This anorack/jacket is better than expected. Very nice garment. Lightweight but substantial. And pockets galore.
