Great, But Size Down
October 11, 2018I really want to love these pants, and I should. The fabric is a brilliant lightweight solution for humid weather (although I would barely call it corduroy, to the casual observer it appears to be a strangely textured denim) that is nonetheless quite durable. These would be my new favorite pants, but they simply don't fit the way they should. I normally wear a 30x34 in J. Crew, but the waist and leg of these feel about two sizes bigger, and as a result, I am forced to cinch the baggy material up with a belt, which spoils the otherwise crisp silhouette they would have had. Otherwise, would recommend in a smaller size.

Great fit and color
June 15, 2018Fit, color and fabric are on point. The olive is a nice deep color. I do wish J.Crew would ditch the synthetic blends, i.e. "stretch". It makes the fabric do weird things and affects the longevity.

Warm weather 5-pockets
April 29, 2018Who knew Bedford corduroy (a very lightweight version) could be so crisp and airy? These pants are a winner. Comfortable all day in 85-degree spring heat. I bought two pairs and hope they last me a long while. Side note: Thanks J. Crew for improving the 770 fit — still nice and slim/straight, but this fit no longer clings to my calves like riding breeches. Glad I gave this cut another chance this year.
