What customers are saying:
Customers really enjoy the traditional, 100% cotton design with a comfortable, well-considered fit and thoughtful details like the gusseted crotch and pocket loop closure. They appreciate the solid construction and durability that make these khakis a go-to for both casual and business casual settings. A number of customers suggested that the subtly distressed, worn finish—especially at the hems and pocket edges—could be refined if a crisper look is desired. Overall, the khakis are seen as a classic and reliable option with plenty of character.

Awesome!
June 11, 2021Great khakis that feel super sturdy and fit very well. They run true to size and fit about the same as the 770 straight-fit chino in my experience. There are a handful of really nice details like the gusseted crotch and pocket loop closure (not really sure what the right term for this is) that elevate these above a normal pair of khakis. The hems are a little distressed as other reviewers have mentioned, but in my opinion this isn't noticeable enough to keep these pants from being worn in business casual environments. There's some gentle fraying around the hems, but it's not like these are cutoffs. Overall, this is a great pair of sturdy khakis! Big fan.

Good Initial Quality
April 23, 2021The pants feel hefty and well-made, especially compared to normal J Crew chinos which I have found wear pretty quickly. Time will tell w/ these. The heft of the khaki gives them a nice drape when worn w/ no break rolled up or cuffed. Just the right slimness and not too tight in the thigh like some other brands, and button fly w/ the placket (IDK if right word?) seems to keep buttoned better than other button fly pants I've worn. Button loop wit hthe back left pocket (rather than a buttonhole in the pocket) is a nice add. Definitely some 'worn look' pre-fray on the pocket edges and pant leg edges, but keeping the pants rolled up or getting them cuffed negates that issue. Hoping it doesn't cause them to wear more quickly. Actual color is a bit less warm than the online photos indicate. More of a traditional khaki w/out the orange undertone. My favorite pair of khakis so far.

Great Khakis!
March 20, 2021Great khakis! Everything about them is spot on. And unlike one reviewer, I'm very pleased with the slightly worn finish on these pants - and yes, unless you're going to a funeral, they, with a navy blazer or v-neck, or both, can be worn to semi-formal functions. but that's my style. If you're very particular, you can always purchase a pair of dress pants if you don't already own a pair for weddings, funerals and the like. Again, a perfect pair of KHAKIS - ready to wear anywhere and look casual yet sartorially tasteful.

Wallace and Barnes officer chinos
March 19, 2021These are nice chinos but... like other reviewers have mentioned they have the broken in appearance. JC should mention this in the description. These are lighter weight than the previous offerings of these chinos. Still a solid product.

Awesome alternative to jeans!
February 15, 2021Finally a traditional-cut, stretch-free, medium-weight pair of khakis that are super comfortable and a great alternative to jeans. These remind me of the J.Crew good old days when when 100% cotton was king . Here's hoping they add more colors! Army Olive and Charcoal please!

Love these pants but the style is "rugged"
February 14, 2021100% Cotton (no stretch, hooray!) and fit is great (feels tailored, not tight), but I was not expecting the hem to be so worn. These truly look "lived-in" and wouldn't be appropriate for certain workplaces.
