Well made and rugged
September 20, 2025One of the first pieces I purchased at J.Crew. The shirt has held up really well after four years and will definitely last several more.The fabric is yet undamaged and the deep brown color is still vibrant. Being that the material is a bit stiff and I’m just 5’6”, I wear this shirt tucked. Just a great looking shirt to wear by itself with lighter blue jeans.

Quality is pretty bad
February 6, 2023I own three different colors of this shirt. As others have experienced, the buttons started crumbling and falling off not long after I bought it. I replaced a few but eventually all of the original buttons broke off (and I mean literally all of them). Took it back to the store and they basically laughed at me for trying to return a used shirt. Pretty annoying.

Buttons snap in half
January 17, 2022I purchased 4 of these shirts in the fall of 2020. Since then they've been worn/washed a handful of times. EVERY shirt has had random buttons snap in half, due to brittle, cheap material used. As much as I would like to give a good review for this shirt (it's super comfy and stylish), I simply can't. Someone tried to save a buck on buttons and put cheap junk on here. Be warned.

Good not great
December 26, 2021I really wanted a corduroy shirt, and this one is pretty nice. My complaint is that it's quite stiff, even after a few washes. The shirt kinda hangs off me and doesn't really conform to my body due to how stiff it is. Also, washing and drying will leave you some mad wrinkles, so it's necessary to iron after every wash. Which I only have to do every few washes with flannel shirts.

90s vibe
December 14, 2021I wanted a work shirt I could throw on for Zoom/Teams meetings. The material is a little thick, and the cord is in between standard and whale size. This makes the overall shirt a little stiff and boxy, and with little stretch. I’m slim, so I usually wear a XS-standard, or S-slim. I have the XS, and it’s still a bit boxy all around. I wouldn’t mind the fit of the fabric laid nicely. Instead it has a sort of 90’s slightly oversized look.
