Beautiful spring/fall coat
March 22, 2023I bought both this and the wool double-cloth CPO shirt jacket on a whim, expecting to like the other garment more because it had a higher wool percentage, but the fit on this one was so much better for me (the other was too long, so it might work better if you're tall/skinny). The fabric looks and drapes very nicely, and the jacket is warmer than I expected -- perfect down to the low 50s over a sweater. This is one of my favorite pieces I've purchased from J Crew in a while!

Looks great but it's SO itchy
February 4, 2023I love the look of this jacket but it's super scratchy. It has zippered pockets so it seems more like a jacket than a shirt, which is nice. I was hoping to be able to wear it with just a t-shirt but it's too uncomfortable with anything that has short sleeves. It's also pretty irritating around the neck if I don't wear it with a shirt that has a collar. I'm considering taking it to a tailor to see if I can get a lining put in it to make it more comfortable and to add an extra layer of warmth. I definitely would not have paid full price for this.
