Customers really like the shirt’s lightweight, breathable madras fabric and the colorful plaid patterns, especially for warm weather. The overall style gets strong marks, and many say it works well dressed up or worn casually. Fit-wise, the slim cut runs a little snug or small for some, so a size up may be worth considering if you prefer more room. Overall, it seems like a comfortable, good-looking shirt that has become a favorite for many customers.

Madras Shirts
October 6, 2020I bought 2 of these shirts. The fabric is so lightweight and soft to wear, especially in the florida heat. This particular combination of blue, white, green, and yellow is my favorite to date and such a beautiful plaid. It runs just a little bit on the smaller size but has not shrunk in the dryer. I’m a 5’10”, 120lb woman and usually buy the Crew men’s shirts to wear with jeans. The buttons fall in better places to leave the neckline open, the pocket is lower(women’s blouse front pockets are way too high on the chest)they machine wash and dry better than women’s, are roomy for a tank underneath, and stay tucked in!

Birthday shopping
August 27, 2020I was shopping with my 16 year old grandson for a birthday gift. As you can see we did well very well. He tried on everything and we both loved ever outfit. John could easily be a model for JCrew. The fit is perfect. I told him to keep it on the downlow with his brothers because we found so much. All in all the whole day was perfect. Thanks for your great clothes

Great summer shirt
August 25, 2020J.Crew’s slim buttondowns have been my go-to, and living in Florida, it’s difficult to find opportunities to wear long sleeves with the heat and humidity. Enter the madras. The material is light and breathable. The print on the shirt is great. My only issue with this shirt is the shirt pocket. I don’t know why, but J.Crew designed it so that the pocket doesn’t line up properly with the rest of the shirt, which is something I haven’t seen with their shirts before (nor is it something I care for, in the least). It’s a little detail that was probably intentional, but looks more like a flaw. Don’t get me wrong - it doesn’t take anything away from the quality or comfort, but it probably won’t be getting as much wear for this reason.
