Wallace & Barnes 8" officer chino short

Good leg size for athletic build. My staple khaki shorts for the summer. I’ve purchased various colors of this short. Quality fabric and stitching.

These are very traditional chino shorts. Think 1950s & awesome. Button fly, heavier chino material, large leg hole, perfect 8” inseam. I’d say these run a little bit. I haven’t washed them yet, but I’m sure they’ll shrink a little bit. I wish I’d have bought more, but I’m happy with this pair. If you’re into that timeless classic J.Crew look from the 80s/90s…you’ve arrived.

OK. So I’ve been longing for 100% cotton shorts and the material on these are GREAT. (I truly miss the classic “Stanton” shorts Jcrew offered that were 100% cotton or linen.) Some caveats is the leg opening is flared out a little. But I think that’s the retro-vintage style Wallace and Barnes was going for. I personally don’t mind it, but can’t see where those with thinner legs would look awkward in them. However, nothing a tailor can’t fix, especially the price point and the material/quality you’re getting. I recommend. But if you have a belly, these are higher rise and may not fit you well. And if you have skinny legs they may look awkward on you if you’re not looking for the retro fit.

Nothing to see here, just a really comfortable well made pair of shorts! Everything is as it should be with these shorts; no stretch, just durable cotton, usable pockets, and just the right length. Runs slightly large.

Quality seems good, but the button fly is unnecessary.. why would anyone want a button fly instead of a traditional zip. Also, the cut of these doors not lead to well fitting shorts. No taper, just straight , does not look good

A button popped off after three washes. No, it wasn't a tight fit and yes, I use the gentle cycle. Just poorly made and wildly overpriced.
