Great fit for athletic builds
November 22, 2025Im 6’2” with an athletic body. This is my second tux from JCrew. The first was a slim fit, but slim fit anything is not an option for me anymore. 44” chest. 42R fits as if it’s tailored. It is a little tight in the arms, but that’s fine. I can still move freely.

Proper Black Tie
April 5, 2024The closest you'll get to a traditional black tie from J. Crew. The peak lapels are wide enough to make a statement, and while it has flap pockets, they tuck in nicely to appear like proper jetted pockets. I just wish it came in a single button with grosgrain instead of satin. But for the price (especially if you catch it on sale), the quality and style beat the alternatives.
