Ludlow Slim-fit patch pocket blazer in English basketweave cotton-wool

As another reviewer put it, this jacket can be as casual or formal as you'd like it to be. The fabric is a great, heavy, textured blend. The cut is very flattering on me, and I tend to have difficulties finding jackets that look good to me out of the box. I think my favorite way to wear this will be with a white polo and nice raw-denim type jeans.

Very nice mid-weight (wool and cotton) navy jacket that will take you from spring through early fall. Jacket has a butterfly lining so it will travel well and breathe in warmer months. Will look great with light gray dress pants, dark or light denim including the 484 white selvedge...see this working in both business and casual environments. Runs a bit small - i’m usually a 38 but opted for the 40 and it fits perfectly off the rack.

It's a quite nice unconstructed spring/summer jacket. However, like others have said, the waist on this blazer is more constricted than even the normal JCrew slim fit. I'm not a small person, but I can usually fit JCrew slim fit without holding my breath. There's not much extra material at the seams so tailoring is probably not an option. There were so many sizes available on this jacket on sale that I suspect that the entire run had the same fit issue.

This jacket can be as formal or casual as you make it. The patch pockets are a nice touch & the color & fit are solid. It runs a bit slim but that's not exactly unexpected. Looks great with gray flannels or other separates as well as denim. And, it's unlined so you could even wear it with shorts if you're daring. It might be worth swapping the buttons out with metal ones at some point but I haven't decided yet.
