Rugged merino wool-blend donegal cable-knit crewneck sweater

I've been eyeing this sweater for weeks and finally got a good deal, so I pulled the trigger and anxiously waited. However, I was highly disappointed when I opened the package and I saw that it was an extremely huge sweater. The large has an armpit to armpit measurement of 24 inches, doubled that's a chest measurement of 48 inches. I'm a pretty big size 42 chest, and would have been happy with at least a 44-46. But I was literally swimming in this sweater. It has wings, I feel like I could actually fly in such a large sweater. In hindsight, I should have sized down, and it would have probably been a perfect fit. It's sold out now, so I am all out of luck. If I ever comes back into stock, I highly recommend you size down for form fitting slim fit. It's wool, so it's going to stretch a little bit over time. A swing and a miss J. Crew.

Nice soft, thick, and warm sweater - what more could you want? I wish they would give details on the materials, so here they are: 60% merino wool and 40% polyamide. Made in China. I am so glad that I read these reviews though and that someone said this is more of a light brown, light coffee color. That was what I was expecting and that is exactly what I got. It's not "ivory". I prefer this color though, so all is good.

I was so excited to receive a cream wool fisherman sweater. What I received was a brown-cream sweater that is only 60 percent wool. This is not the J Crew quality I am used to. Fit was good but will be returning. Looking for sustainable natural fibers and this is not it.

Fits well, made well, and has that classic look. You will have this sweater for years to come

My son loved this sweater. Wears it like a sweatshirt. Reminds me of an 80’s throwback. Quality is tops. Not itchy nor scratchy. Warm. Sturdy. Deliberate. Just as clothes should be. A good value.

I like the style of the sweater, however the color is more akin to a light cup of coffee rather than cream or off white.
