The uppers are soft enough for me since I wear them without socks and put in a slip in that works with out socks- I wear 10 normally and bought these in a 42 per the comments

I've been searching for a low-profile leather slip-on for quite some time, so I was thrilled when I came across these on J.Crew's website. Not only did they exceed my expectations in person, but they're also constructed in a way that allows them to be easily resoled—I'll be able to enjoy them for many years to come.

Love these wear them all the time. They break in fairly quickly. Would recommend you get a snug size so they break in well. Color ages great.
