Nice, but...
April 27, 2021The shirt is of good quality, if a bit thin, which isn’t necessarily bad but seeing that it was “Japanese Selvage” I thought it might be a little thicker. But it’s a great weight for spring and summer, or under a sweater in the fall. Also, it’s a little long. Sticklers may want to have it hemmed. My main problem is with the arms. As on probably all of the Wallace and Barnes tops (shirts and jackets), there isn’t enough material around the upper arm area. Ok, I don’t have thin arms, but I buy most of my clothes from J. Crew and I don’t have this problem with other tops. When I raise my arms, a la Frankenstein (and I do that a lot, don’t ask) the material cuts into my arms between the deltoids and the biceps. I love the idea behind the W&B brand: the reworking of classic workwear, I just wish they made it for people who like to raise their arms above chest level.

Quality product with excellent value
November 6, 2020I was nicely surprised by the super craftsmanship of this shirt. The shirt utilizes the triple stitching construction method with the built-in selvedge IDs in key areas. This style is consistent with that of a high end light weight Japanese selvedge chambray shirt with additional reinforcement around the button and arm areas. Some people may not care for the unique design of the left pocket but I thought it is cool. The fit is classic, not too tight and not too loose. This shirt represents a tremendous value to anyone who appreciates the high quality material and craftsmanship.

5 Stars
October 30, 2020This is probably my 5th J. Crew chambray shirt, and no doubt my favorite. Love the fabric and fit. Like all J. Crew chambrays, I can see myself wearing this classic style for many, many years.
