Baracuta® G9 Harrington jacket with detachable hood

Love this jacket. Fits very slim. I typically wear a 42L in a sport coat. Ordered the size 42 and it fits pretty much perfect without an inch to spare. A couple of things that should be noted. 1) This jacket is made in Turkey, not the UK as advertised. 2) This is not a cotton/poly blend as advertised. Per the tag, the jacket is made from polyamide. Appears to be a perfect jacket for spring and fall. Did some research and these were originally designed as a type of rain jacket for golfers. I won't be wearing it to golf but it certainly makes a fashionable, perfect everyday, jacket.

As you can probably tell from the pictures, this is not your classic G9 harrington jacket from Baracuta . It keeps the basic attributes, but they removed the tartan lining, added a detachable hood and used a 100% nylon fabric (not cotton/poly blend as advertised at the time of this review). The fabric itself is thinner than the fabric of a standard G9 and intentionally very wrinkly. It creates a unique look that's not for everyone. According to the Baracuta, the fabric also went through a special garment-dyeing process giving the fabric an "iridescent finish". Overall, it's a unique jacket but it doesn't work for me. The harrington style looks strange with a hood, and I dislike the fabric.
