Coat for giants
January 20, 2022I bought the small since a lot of people suggested it runs large and this thing is HUGE. I’m 155, 5’9 and when wearing it unbuttoned, it looks absolutely silly. I could def pull it off if it’s buttoned but forget about it otherwise. Really bummed out because the quality is wonderful and I got it at a great final sale price. Wish I could exchange it for an XS. Looks like I’ll be wearing it in Southern California winters (buttoned) once or twice a year. Come on J. Crew! Get it together with your sizing.

The End-All Be-All Peacoat
January 6, 2022I’m stoked to use this soon. I’m about to move from South Florida to Northwest Pennsylvania (in January…I know lol). I wanted to invest in a great Peacoat and nothing else seemed to compare style- and quality-wise to this J Crew Dock Peacoat. I read the reviews and decided to order a medium. I’m usually between medium and large these days. I figured they had to allot SOME room for layering. The result: a great fitting Peacoat with some room for layering that still looks tailored. It’s a little snug in the armpit area if I lift my arms, but I’m still glad I didn’t size up. The sleeves and hem hit at the right spot. The antique pewter is a handsome, classic color and a nice non-navy option. It seems like it’ll go with just about every pair of pants I own. With the Primaloft lining and overall heavy weight of the coat, it is VERY warm. I think I should be fine with a sweater and long sleeve shirt underneath this. I’m sure I’ll have this piece for many years to come. This is a great coat!

Great quality. Sharp looking. Runs Large
December 28, 2021I am usually a Medium in everything, (also in other j crew items) and returned the medium for a small. Medium was too long, and sleeves much too long for me, even when layering. Small fits great. I’m about 5’9” 160lbs. Athletic build, broader shoulders/arms. Usually wear a 40R or 40S suit. The coat itself looks great, especially unbuttoned. Good quality and warm. I live in CO and so far has kept me warm in sub freezing temperatures

The Perfect Peacoat
November 22, 2021I’m 5’11, 170lbs, fit. I bought the large & it’s a perfect fit. Enough room to layer and be more than comfortable. Highly recommended.
