Wanted to love the back on this more than I did
August 24, 2021I wish the cross on the back was just a little higher. Unfortunately it slung a bit low (below my bra band, rather than closer to bra band level, if that makes sense) and wasn’t as flattering as I’d hoped. Great J Crew swim quality! Just not the right fit for me.

Not your grandma’s one piece
August 17, 2021I have worn this suit a few times and am very happy with it. The fabric is sleek but substantial. The back cross cross adds flair without compromising fit or showing too much skin. I initially bought it to wear to my granddaughter’s swimming lessons but it’s stylish and sassy enough for vacation. The top is well constructed making the straps truly optional. I bought the black one but may scout the bright cerise. I do not feel it is in any way basic, I would have worn it 20 years ago and felt great in it!

Jcrew quality, unflattering fit.
August 17, 2021I am very disappointed in this suit. When I purchased it I saw that it was marked “final sale” but I felt comfortable with the purchase since I have previously purchased Jcrew suits and have been very happy with them. This suit, however, is the most unflattering black swimsuit I have. I am 5.5 & 140 pounds and usually wear between a 6 & 8. I purchased the 8 and the leg bands are tight and the suit is not long enough in the torso and I look about 10 pounds heavier. I wish I could return it. Very disappointed. Definitely will no longer order final sale items.

Terrible fit
July 27, 2021The fit on this suit is all off… maybe it’s made for someone with a very long torso? Seemed okay when I tried it on, but after wearing it for 30 minutes it was all stretched out.

Cute and comfy
July 25, 2021It is a cute swimsuit, material is really nice and comfy. Stays in places, I got my usual size and it fits right. Only feel the leg opening is a tad big.

Classic and flattering
July 23, 2021This is my second suit from J. Crew, and I just ordered another. Can't get enough of them! This style in particular is great, really classic and modest, but not matronly at all. Unlike other reviewers, I wouldn't size up. I did and wish I hadn't, because it's a tad baggy in the butt area, which is always so annoying when you're all wet getting out of the water. Reminds me of a toddler's dirty diaper hanging between their legs lol.
