Full/queen sheet set in heritage microgingham

I really love these sheets. The quality is so nice and they feel really expensive. I love the gingham pattern and did a mixed pattern look which looks super fun. They are slightly large for my mattress but my Restoration Hardware sheets were way worse.

I knew I was taking a chance ordering these but I'm usually pleased with items from J Crew and I liked the look of them. I use navy blue in my bedroom and these were a bit different. The quality is very nice, The problem is they're really big for my full size mattress. It's not a futon but a regular mattress and the top sheet reaches the floor on both sides of the bed and the bottom sheet looks sloppy. Even the pillowcases are too big. I don't know why they're labeled full/queen. The hems are nice and deep and those details are lovely. They're just too big. And I tried drying them in a hot dryer. So much for my experiment...
