Too thin
November 1, 2023Way too thin. It's the same material they use for their linen napkins. A placemat should be thicker and have a little stiffness to hold it's shape. These won't easily stay flat on the table because they're so thin and floppy.

Gorgeous fabric, but 1-ply, like the napkin.
April 24, 2023I bought the same blue-green floral Liberty print in a tablecloth, placemats and napkins. The print is GORGEOUS! However, I was surprised that the placemats are the same single layer of fabric as the tablecloth and napkins. This was a surprise. Placements I expected to be thicker, so that if soup or coffee spills, the liquid won’t seep through and dirty the tablecloth. This placemat is essentially the same as the napkin, only it is rectangular, not square. Just wanted to write so that others will be aware of what they are getting, and make an informed choice.
