Demi-fine 14k gold-plated short multi-link necklace

great quality easy to be put on. a little large for a petite neck. bought the long and short necklace in this style

I think this is a great piece. I Wore it with a simple button down shirt and it added a nice touch. Dressed up my outfit but kept it clean and classic. I love the 16 inch length, not a choker but not long, just right. It’s noticable but not bold, perfect in between. I can’t judge the quality because I’ve only worn it a few times. The color is shiny gold but I don’t think it’s brassy looking Love the link style.

I have a lot of J.Crew's Demi-Fine jewelry line. They all look really good together. This line has a particularly warm color to the gold, unlike any other alloy I've seen, so you have to match it together. It doesn't look "cheap", as some reviewers are saying, they just don't understand about alloys. And, yes, it isn't a good idea to put those pieces next to the cheaper J.Crew gold pieces. The short length is not a problem for me, and I'm an older woman, and has nothing to do with the heat or the cold. The short length is very attractive if you have a good neck to show off. These are very nice pieces and I enjoy them quite a bit.

Very strange piece or maybe it's the demi line in general. I received mine and have to agree with the other review it's rather bright. It is not the worst color but the length is non extendable and it wraps right around your neck. Just not pleasant I am imaging in warm weather at all. Sadly, this is going to be returned, if I had only adhered to the review and saved myself the return "hassle" but it looked so nice in the photo image. This is 16" maybe if it had two extenders I would have "recommended" this piece and kept it - so it's "bright" the paperclip look is light to the eye. As it is - it is a return even on the sale price I paid.

I appreciate that J.Crew is making an attempt to provide sophisticated and classy jewelry options, and after eyeing this necklace for awhile, I decided to order it. When it arrived, I was very disappointed. The color is odd - it isn't quite the understated and simple yellow-gold you would expect from a 14K gold plated piece; instead it has an orangey/brassy tone that makes it look a little cheap. Also, I personally would have preferred just a bit more length as this necklace sits right at the bottom of the neck across where the thyroid is located so if that is a sensitive area for you, it may be a little uncomfortable.
