Frosted crystal collar necklace

I like this necklace...it's fun and feminine. I knew it was a piece of costume jewelry so I wasn't disappointed at all with the workmanship or "gold" tones. I love how the necklace can make a plain t-shirt and jeans look chic. I've worn this with a striped, button down shirt and slacks for work, and a black jersey dress with heels. Have fun with it!

The necklace is asymmetrical. It clearly shows that in the photo, but I didn't look closely enough before ordering. Maybe I am too old school (or just old), but I expect my jewelry to be the same on both sides. Like the other reviewer, I was excited to receive this and very disappointed upon opening it. For the price, I was expecting glass, stone, something. The necklace moves a lot and makes a sound like plastic jingle bells. I kept adjusting it on my neck, trying to find a way in which it didn't look like half my necklace had fallen off. I decided it looked best back in the box and returned it. J.Crew, please consider a Collection jewelry line for your more, um, mature customers.

I love JCrew's statement necklaces. Everyone at work always asks me where I get my necklaces. I saw this and was thrilled to get a white necklace, but when I got it I was disappointed. The "gold" seemed so cheap. The necklace was very light. I'm sure this would go for $20 in another store. I can see this being offered on the street, or at a store for younger people who might not be able to spend so much on costume jewelry.
