Pearl-and-chain short necklace

While it’s a pretty, good quality necklace but for some reason, when I put it on, the skin on my neck starts itching. Other necklaces that I recently ordered from J Crew also causes my skin to itch too. Not sure what’s in the necklace. Past necklaces I purchased from J Crew several years ago didn’t affect my skin. Maybe new kind of metals are being used in current necklaces?
