Straw hat with grosgrain ribbon

This hat was not what I expected! It came packaged nicely, and the quality is nice - both the straw material and the ribbon. However, the fit and the style are comical. I have an average sized head - 21 inches, and I got the small/medium. The depth of the head is so deep that the brim almost covers my eyes, and the width was such that I would have shoved 2-3 handkerchiefs in. I looked like a Mennonite.

This hat looks better in person than it does online. The brim is nice and wide without being comically so. I like the striped ribbon, although I wish it also came in solid colors. My only complaint is that the hat runs pretty large. I normally wear M/L in hats, but even the S/M one is slightly loose on me. I don't think it would work for people with small heads. Other than that, thumbs up!
