Straw panama hat with leopard grosgrain ribbon

I love the Ecuadorian Toquilla Hats. They have always been hand made in Ecuador. The reason why the are called "Panama Hats" is because when the Panama Canal was being built an ex-Ecuadorian president who was on exile in Panama thought that they will be great for the workers to use the toquilla straw hats to protect them from the sun. He requested his family to send him the Ecuadorian Toquilla Hats to sell them in Panama and the rest is history! But since they were first seen in Panama that is the reason why they are called Panama Hats!

I liked almost everything about this hat with the exception of the height. It seemed too high and disproportionate, at least for my size head (average). The leopard ribbon is a great accent!
