Wrong description, good socks
January 6, 2023Others have mentioned, but these socks do not have a silk content, and are not knee high. I'm 5'3" shoe 8W with medium calves and they are higher than a crew, but a couple inches below my knee. Feet over size 9 might find these too small. They are pretty soft and very warm. They have pilled slightly, but nothing significant. I have a bunch of wool socks and delicates that already get washed in bags and air dried, so no shrinkage on my socks. NEVER PUT WOOL IN THE DRYER, of course these socks will shrink if you do, they're 56% wool. After washing they may feel tighter and rougher, but after a few minutes of wearing the fibers loosen back up. I wanted some warm and textured, but not too thick socks for New England winters, and so far these are just what I wanted. I got pink and sand. Pink is a muted rose, and sand is what it looks like in the picture, a medium beigey-gray. Came back for more even though longevity has not yet been proven...I tend to wear holes in socks quickly.

Not knee-high socks
January 14, 2022They were not knee-high before they were washed and I’m only 5’4”. They shrank even when washed in cold water. What a waste.
