Double-breasted blazer in gold herringbone English wool

I'd had my eye on this blazer for months since it photographs beautifully and looks great with any outfit people paired it with. I was hoping to snag it at a good sale price - I finally just bought it and was really excited for it to arrive. The tweed is gorgeous in person and typical of the high quality you'd expect from Abraham Moon. However, the rest of the jacket - namely the lining and the buttons - is surprisingly low quality. The lining of one of the sleeves was sewn incorrectly and it bunches up when I try to put my arm through it. The buttons are also lightweight and plastic-y, not like the sturdier old J. Crew ones. They also dangle loosely and limply from the jacket, which makes it look like sad, droopy cow udders rather than a chic blazer. I hope J. Crew will fix these inconsistencies and re-release this blazer in new colours, with better buttons and a good lining. I love the silhouette and the fit, and I'm a longtime fan of their Abraham Moon pieces.

I had been coveting this for a while. The print ads all made it look very cute, so I wanted it but I wanted to wait until it went sale. So I checked back for weeks. I finally got the opportunity after Christmas. When it arrived I was disappointed. I guess I had hoped it would be as cool and as cute as the photos made it look, and it wasn't. It's final sale so I have to keep it. It will probably just sit in my closet until I sell it on Vinted or something. So disappointing.

Love everything about this blazer! The feel is great quality, I just felt really smart sexy in it. It’s a definite staple in a closet only thing I’d say are the buttons feel a bit cheap but the overall quality is great.

If you don't own this blazer you're seriously missing out!! I cannot say enough incredible things about it! I love this blazer! I wear it several times a week, I wear it to work I pair it with jeans and a tshirt, sweater, or turtleneck. The most versatile piece I own. I purchased an 8, I wear a med to large in tops and the 8 fit perfect. However, it didn't fit as an oversized boyfriend blazer.. I wasn't disappointed though, the fit was still great. The quality in the fabric is incredible as well. As I said, I can't say enough about great this piece is.

I love my new double breasted gold herring bone blazer with everything ! I am a jeans and tshirt person and live in LA so it’s perfect for our fall winter and with my basic go to uniform... I also scored and got it ON SALE last month so I am pretty darn happy all around ...JCREW is what I gravitate to and I’m always glad when they have special seasonal pieces that will last for years:)
